Gloria Panettone is made with an original recipe that combines the best ingredients and the best selection of raisins and candied fruits, obtaining a product with an exquisite aroma, flavor and delicate texture.
Long-grain, smooth-textured bakery product. Dark color on the surface and yellow in the center with raisins and candied fruits.
It is cupola-shaped, extending from a cylindrical base, and is usually large for a 2-pound panettone. It is made through a long process of hardening the dough, which is acidic, similar to fermentative dough. The testing process only takes a few days, which gives the cake its distinctive, moist characteristics. Contains candied orange, other candied fruits (papaya), as well as raisins.
Served wedge-shaped, cut vertically, usually accompanied by Sol del Cusco hot milk chocolate.
In Peru, being the second largest consumer of this product in the world. It is essential during the December holidays. It is traditional to eat “panettone” on Christmas Eve and at the end of the year.
